Whatever it is that Logan Morrison might bring to a dynamic baseball team, the Rays want it.

Tampa Bay has inked Morrison, 29, to a one-year, $2.5 million deal, plus $1.25 million in incentives.

Morrison got off to one of the worst starts in the history of baseball before a huge rebound to hit .238 with 14 bombs and 43 RBIs in 107 games.

So far, this new financial security has not prompted Morrison to get back on Twitter, a move that would make him much more interesting.

This signing could mean the Rays are ready to relocate Brad Miller to second base to replace Logan Forsythe. Joe wouldn’t bet on that, but maybe that move would anger Miller into another successful hitting rampage, like the one he went on after getting booted from shortstop.
