Insult To Injury At All-Star Game
July 13th, 2016It was painful enough watching Ben Zobrist, Wil Myers and Buster Posey play for the National League in last night’s All-Star game.
But the only thing worse was seeing Alex Colomé stuck permanently on the A.L. bench. Nine pitchers trotted out for the A.L., but Colomé wasn’t among them. How fitting that he was left sitting on the bowl in the Rays’ toilet season.
Regardless, not it’s giant gut check time for Tampa Bay. Kevin Kiermaier returns in a matter of days. Alex Cobb is near. The team can’t continue playing .150 baseball. There’s no reason why the Rays can’t start winning 45 percent of their games. There’s absolutely enough talent there for that.
Joe believes the suits in St. Pete know they have enough to turn in a second half that’s not embarrassing. But another 74 games of garbage should bring sweeping changes, starting with Kevin Cash.

What’s the difference. Last place is last place. Even if we had the # 1 draft pick in the 1st round, we’d screw it up with these front office clowns running the show. Stu Sternberg is not helping himself on a new stadium. It’s like he doesn’t give an oily discharge! All he complains about is how the fans don’t support his team. It’s a two way street here. He’s got the lowest payroll in baseball at 72 million a year, but out of that he’s paying James Loney $7,000,000 not to play for him. Not a whole lot of logic going on here. Move on ! Nothing to see here.

The all-star game is a complete joke just like the rest of them in the other major sports and the Tampa Bay Rays, Stu and his wonderful front office is a bigger joke! Crap! Complete crap!

Every Rays trade rumor shows who the Rays may want to trade. Not ONE talks about who the Rays want to get in return. Here’s a thought….trade for a slick fielding shortstop. If you are parting with a starter, you should be able to acquire a good SS. You can then move Miller either in a trade or to the outfield. Then trade another starter for Lucroy, the catcher from Milwaukee. Be strong defensively up the middle and we have a chance not to suck.

Have you checked out Lucroy’s Wife? She would be a nice addition to Tampa Bay’s skyline. She’s a tall beautiful female.

Lucroy would make too much sense and its likely the brewers will move him to a contender. rays will probably deal a couple of their starters and their other tradable talent for some prospects that likely will not amount for much. i bet they move Odorizzi and Matt Moore for a few prospects that will be in the top 10 of the other team’s minor league rankings but likely will not be higher than AA and at least 2 or 3 seasons away from the big leagues….
