How Sweet It Was!

April 20th, 2016

smylyraysSticking it to the Red Sox in the tenth last night, a 3-0 shutout at Fenway. Beautiful!

Joe’s so damn glad David Price got to sit on the Sox bench and watch the guy the Rays got for him in a trade with Detroit, Drew Smyly, absolutely dominate, a 1-hitter through eight innings with 11 strikeouts.

Can someone tell Joe why the Rays lead the majors in colliding with each other? If Smyly had gotten injured by trainwreck Logan Morrison, then Joe would have blown a gasket.

Your Rays are 6-7. Respectability looms.

Happy highlights are below.

It was great to see Kiermayer wrap one around the Pesky Pole in the 10th.

Joe makes a great point about Price. I felt the same way a couple times last night when Smyly was spinning a masterpiece while the very wealthy Price got to watch.

Respectable??? With our missing first baseman in the lineup, we would be in 1st place.

Where in the world is James Loney???
