“A Little More Amped Up”

Matt Moore

Made Spring Debut

When Matt Moore walks off the mound healthy, Rays fans rejoice.

That’s just the way it is for the big left-hander these past couple of years.

But expectations inched forward yesterday. Moore’s spring training debut was sound, on the heels of a good final month of the 2015 season.

Moore started and allowed a solo homer to Mookie Betts of the Red Sox and then settled in from there, offering 23 pitches through two innings of solid work.

Moore said he was “a little more amped up” than usual and is pumped to pitch again in four days and just focus on the process versus health.

Rays fans are all good with whatever Moore is feeling emotionally. Just stay healthy, Matt.
